Take to the court in NBA 2K21, EA’s latest and greatest edition of their best-selling basketball franchise. Take on friends head-to-head or online or build a dynasty in MyLEAGUE mode.
The last NBA 2K game that will release on the PS4 and Xbox One while they’re still the current gen, and it promises to be a fitting farewell to this generation of games console with the most comprehensive take on basketball ever. NBA 2K21 will once again make use of incredible graphics to bring each team’s full roster to life, and an incredible range of on court animations lends the gameplay a remarkable fluidity. Players will have even greater control over individual players, thanks to upgraphs to the Pro Stick Shooting system and an overhaul of the available dribbling mechanics.
As well as MyLEAGUE, the game’s effective career mode, returning, so will other popular modes. MyCAREER has you take control of a single player and guide them to success both on and off the court, aided by guest appearances from LeBron James and Idress Elba. MyTEAM, NBA 2K’s answer to FIFA’s hugely successful Ultimate Team mode, has you earning currency which you can then use to buy packs of players with the goal of crafting an unbeatable squad to take on others online with.
You’ve got a choice of three cover stars with NBA 2K21. The standard edition for current generations will feature Damian Lillard, while the standard edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X features rookie sensation Zion Williamson. Finally, the Mamba Forever Edition will feature the late, great Kobe Bryant. Once again, there are two different covers depending on whether you’ll be picking up a copy for the current generation of consoles, or the upcoming PS5 and XSX Mamba Forever Edition.
