Hit the gridiron with the return of EA’s best-selling Madden series. Promising the most cutting-edge take on the NFL ever, Madden 21 will be the first in the series to debut on the next generation PS5 and Xbox Series X, as well as the PS4 and Xbox One.
Utilising EA’s Frostbite 3 engine, Madden NFL 21 will feel like the most realistic version of football ever found in a video game. Players will be given unrivalled control over players, teams and tactics, and the tactile feedback of actually playing the game will have never felt better.
One of the game’s most popular modes, Franchise mode, gives players the chance to play GM and try to take their chosen team all the way to the Super Bowl. Build a balanced roster, manage salary caps, and then take control of the unstoppable team you’ve built to try and win out on the field. This year, in Madden NFL 21, franchise mode is getting an overhaul. In particular, the franchise mode will get more catered to by live service updates, meaning players will have more incentives and other rewards given to them throughout the football season, whereas in past games there has been little added to franchise mode post-launch. There’s also been some much requested quality of life improvements, including more realistic player progression and regression, and tweaks to the UI to make key stats and more detailed information both readily available.
As always, team rosters and details will be fully up-to-date for the coming football season. This includes the recent rebranding of the Washington football team. Madden NFL 21 is the only place to experience a fully authentic version of the 2020 football season.
