Retailers celebrate Mario Day in style with Nintendo Switch deals

This weekend will see a deluge of limited-time offers come to the Nintendo Switch in honor of Mario Day on March 10, with US retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop and others all participating via their own specific deals. This is in addition to the Mario game discounts already shared through the My Nintendo website earlier this month, meaning that there’s never been a better time to express your enthusiasm for that squat, little mustachioed plumber.

An in-depth breakdown of how each retailer is choosing to celebrate Mario Day has been published on the official Nintendo website, and is well worth a look to see which offer might most appeal to you. We at Consoles.com will obviously be keeping up with what’s going on and comparing all the offers over the weekend as they happen. We do this in the hope of saving you the trouble from trawling from site to site or store to store. If, that is, you so wish.

The biggest offer doing the rounds is one shared across Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, Target and Walmart, whereby those who are yet to buy a Nintendo Switch can pick up a console with a select game for just $329.98. The five select Mario games included in this offer are as follows:

  • Super Mario Party
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
  • Mario Tennis Aces
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Mario Kart 8: Deluxe

This is pretty much a full list of all front-facing Mario games released for Switch up until this point. We’re especially surprised to see the recently released New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe featured in the line-up. Digital download codes for the very same games will be available from participating retailers for just $39.99 each – that’s a saving of $20 compared to the usual RRP.

Will these Mario Day deals tempt you to pick up a Nintendo Switch this weekend? If so, you can count on us to keep you informed as they pop up!
